About this place
Lakuri Bhanjyang is in Lalitpur, Bagmati Province, Nepal, at 1,991 m elevation (other source). Last dated first-hand observation: 22 Jun 2012 (more than a year ago).
A hill station on the south-east rim of the Kathmandu valley in Mahalaxmi Municipality, Lalitpur, at about 1,990 m. A paved road and public buses from Lagankhel reach the bazaar at the pass, and cars and motorbikes can drive up to the camping spots. People camp at several places on the hill rather than on one ground, with snack shops, homestays and resorts close by. Spring and autumn give the clearest mountain views. The pin marks the picnic ground on the hilltop: campers also use other spots on the hill, one of them near Ganesh Man Singh Park about 1.4 km away.
