About this place

Bhundole Chaur is in Kathmandu, Bagmati Province, Nepal, at 1,936 m elevation (other source). Last dated first-hand observation: 4 Sept 2022 (more than a year ago).

Bhundole Chaur, also called Bhundol Ground, is an open grassy meadow ringed by forest above Pharping, in Dakshinkali-9 of the Kathmandu district. It is reached on foot from Pharping or Old Dakshinkali Temple, or by bike to a parking area followed by a short walk. Campers pitch tents on the meadow and light small fires; a watchman stays at the ground and, according to one older blog, asks a small fee per group. The pin marks the meadow.
